This is a sturdy lighting stand and an excellent value. My order arrived in very good condition on exactly the day promised. This is a good tripod up until you go to hang the fixtures. Spec say 1.5 inch pipe when in fact it's 1.375. So the O-clamps do not work. Called the company and couldn't get any satisfaction other than buying c-clamps. As we all know, it makes up the cross rails. (Posted on 3/20/09)Feature Quality Value Overall - Lightweight? Nah... This is a steel stand. It's a bit heavy. It feels very sturdy. It was a bit difficult to assemble, as the plastic tees fit rather tightly on the poles and one cracked as it went on (the bolts were completely loosened beforehand). My stand had a broken end cap on one of the short (horizontal) poles.Feature Quality Value Overall
One great feature that isn't shown in the photo is the lock pins that are attached with steel cables. A great safety feature.
