This is a steel stand. It's a bit heavy. It feels very sturdy. It was a bit difficult to assemble, as the plastic tees fit rather tightly on the poles and one cracked as it went on (the bolts were completely loosened beforehand). My stand had a broken end cap on one of the short (horizontal) poles.
One great feature that isn't shown in the photo is the lock pins that are attached with steel cables. A great safety feature.
This stand will get the job done, for now. Next time I'll be buying a more expensive stand.
