These were my first led lightbulbs. I replaced 10 bulbs around my house ranging from 40 to 60 watts, and this "8watt" bulb is brighter with a very pleasant white light. They are somewhat directional, and placed horizontally in certain fixtures didn't work out. They work great with my existing dimmer switches. If they last anywhere as long as advertized, they are perfect bulb replacements for most situations. (Posted on 8/21/12)

I replaced 6 CFL bulbs in my house with these. The CFLs ranged 60w to 75w equivalents and I can't say that I noticed that these LEDs were noticeably dimmer even though they are supposed to be 40w equivalent. Great bulbs and you won't find a better price on this or an similar bulb anywhere. (Posted on 7/31/12)
