I have tried to replace 150W incandescent bulbs before with fluorescent ones and found that most of them are too large to fit inside a standard lamp. This one fit easily. It takes a little while to reach full brightness, but once it does, it provides plenty of light. It also works well as a 3-way, a feature that is hard to find.
