A multifaceted reflector (MR) 16 is a type of bulb that often used for its concentrated and directional light. The ‘16’ refers to the number of quarters of an inch the diameter of the front of the bulb is. Thus an MR16 bulb has a two inch diameter. It this therefore a common choice for illuminating paintings or spaces that require direct light. The MR16 is enclosed and has an infrared coated reflector that gives the bulb its concentrated beam.
