Just installed these in our newly renovated kitchen. Contractor installed 65w incandescent, per contract. They provided adequate light, but in an effort to reduce energy consumption and provide a little more light, went with these. These are incredibly bright (I WILL be installing a dimmer, by the way), and the light is much more natural than the incandescent. Now I just have to wait to see whether they last the rest of my life. I plan to install more LEDs at home, and maybe there will be some modest reduction in my energy bill. Please note that in a standard 6" canister fixture, these lamps extend about 3/8" below the canister. Although minimally noticeable to me, the appearance does not detract from the overall positive appearance of the lights. (Posted on 3/13/13)Overall Value Quality Feature
