MR8 bulbs are a popular choice in retail and decorative applications where display lighting or fiber optic lighting is needed and precise light is required. Like its bigger brother, the MR16, the MR8 is a member of the multi-faceted reflector (MR) family and like the 12V MR16 is available in low voltage models. The difference between MR8 and MR-16s has to do with the differing diameters of their bulb faces. The ‘8’ and ‘16’ correspond to 8/8 of an inch and 16/8 of an inch, meaning that an MR8 is 1in diameter while an MR16 bulb is 2in in diameter. The MR8 is available with a GZ4 2-pin base and with a 3,050K color temperature, giving it a clear white light that is close enough to the warm color range of color temperatures to not appear too blue. Our MR8s are offered in narrow flood (NFL) and narrow spot (NSP) beam spreads to give a nice and tight light in a small package.
