Halogen Light Bulbs and Xenon Bulbs

A halogen bulb, also known as a tungsten halogen lamp or quartz iodine lamp, is an incandescent lamp that has a small amount of a halogen such as iodine or bromine added.

From stage and studio lighting to the lighting in your kitchen, halogen light bulbs are an important light source in nearly all applications. Bulb America offers various specific lamp and bulb models for stage LED lighting, outdoor lighting, promotional projectors and projector lamps, medical lighting, Home & Garden lighting and other lighting applications. Halogen light bulbs and Xenon bulbs provide exceptional color rendering, compact size, and improved lumen maintenance over incandescent bulbs. Recently halogen light bulbs have been further improved with the introduction of infrared. Some of the most popular halogen light bulbs are PAR can bulbs and MR 16 bulbs.MR16 LED bulbs such as the MR16 IR bulbs offer further improved efficiency and lower energy draws due to the bulbs having reflectors with a special dichroic coating that dissipates heat.

Halogen light bulbs are widely used in stage and studio lighting because they can realistically produce many different color temperatures.

Halogen light bulbs and Xenon bulbs actually have different halogen gas combinations within the bulbs’ envelope, giving photographers or filmmakers the ideal light conditions to get the shot they need. For a balance of light quality, life span, and cost, no other light source compares to halogen light bulbs or Xenon bulbs.
