Color temperature refers to the color of light. It is a crucial factor in designing any lighting system or setup. When speaking of color temperature you should be familiar with ‘warm colors’ and ‘cool colors’. Warm colors are those colors on the lower end of the color temperature spectrum, ranging from 2,700K to 3,000K. Yellowish light, the temperature of your typical incandescent bulb belongs to the warm color range. The ‘cool colors’ actually have the highest color temperature, ranging from 5,000K and up. The cool colored bulbs are usually white or bluish white, daylight is found in this color temperature range.
