I thought about going for cheaper bulbs, but so far i'm pleased with these. Very cool, bright light that is basically indistinguishable from standard non-lv bulbs. So, we have 50 watt halogen bulbs all around the house. We use the lights in the living and kitchen the most. 8 in LR & 6 in kitchen. The halogens last anywhere from 3 months to almost 2 years (what quality control). They are hot, especially in the kitchen we can feel the heat standing under them.Value Quality Feature Overall
Right now we are testing 1 bulb. Its been up for 5 days and I really like the LED bulb.
My hope is that there will be a lot less replacing bulbs. Also expect that the kitchen and LR will be cooler in the summer... those halogens produce ALOT of heat. (Posted on 2/1/13)
