I have been in the DJ business for over 20 years and for about 15 years I have also installed sound and lighting at many clubs and venues. We still have a large amount of Halogen fixtures out there and they get abuse. Constant flashing them on and off, outdoor setups with pore heat control, over use of the light by burring the bulb for more then 10 minutes at a time. Well at the price Bulbamerica was selling these bulbs I had to try them. Great bulb! They have above average life, out performing more expensive bulbs. There are some very expensive bulbs I have bought in the past that I will say out last these bulbs but not by much. At the price for these bulbs I get 11 bulbs verses one of the long life bulbs. So do the math, 11 bulbs at 60 hours average life that's 660 hours, verses my long life bulb at about the same price that had a average life of 150 hours. This should really be a no brainer. I recommend this bulb to everyone.Value Quality Feature Overall
For everyone concerned about lumens (brightness) and Color Temperature here is what I have found. First lumens, because the long life version of this bulb is a 130 volt bulb this bulb at 120 volts is slightly brighter then the way more expensive long life bulb. Not outrageously so but very slightly. Color Temperature is very average for 300 watt halogen and produces nice crisp colors out of your effects lights.
