5 in. Shallow IC-Rated Airtight New Construction Housing

This NICOR 15013A is an aluminum 5-inch new construction housing designed for 5-inch LED recessed downlights, LED retrofits, and traditional trims of all sorts. This airtight and insulation-contact rated housing (IC allows for direct contact with insulation) helps keep your home insulated and energy efficient. It is suitable for residential and commercial applications and features integrated thermal guards that protect against overheating, which is usually attributed to using an incorrect bulb or exceeding the maximum wattage. The shallow rated 15013A is the perfect housing for tight spaces and between floor levels. The 15013A is also damp location rated when used with damp location rated downlights and trims. Protected with NICORs 1 Year Limited Warranty.
